Since 2017, PT Bumi Suksesindo (BSI) has supported Oxygen Donation, a tree planting movement organized by the Banyuwangi Regency, by donating tree seedlings to the Banyuwangi Regency and local non-governmental organizations. In the future, those seedlings will grow into trees that release oxygen (O2) and absorb CO2—in other words: help reduce greenhouse gases. Until the end of 2021, BSI has donated around 26 thousand tree seedlings which are dominated by trembesi (Samanea saman), the type of plant that absorbs the most CO2 from the air.
