Merdeka Continues to Lead in Sustainalytics’ ESG Risk Rating for the Indonesian Mining Industry
In January 2024, Morningstar Sustainalytics updated the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) risk rating of PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk. Merdeka’s ESG score improved to 31.8, resulting in an enhanced global position, from the 18th to the 16th percentile among the rated global diversified metals and mining companies.
With the score improvement, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk has also maintained its position as the leader for Sustainalytics’ ESG risk rating among Indonesian companies in the diversified mining industry within the comprehensive assessment category.
