With one of the world’s largest nickel resources, PT Sulawesi Cahaya Mineral (SCM) is rapidly growing, integrated with the downstream-nickel industry to transform into an integrated nickel industry ecosystem. PT SCM is currently searching for experienced and qualified talents for Manager Technical Studies (MTS).
Manager Technical Studies is accountable for leading and overseeing technical studies in relation to the mine development, reserve optimization, and downstream project development. Manager Technical Studies provide all technical data inputs and other studies required for regulatory compliances and permitting with regard to the mine and project development. Manager Technical Studies reports to the GM Mine Technical Services.
Job Descriptions:
- Lead and oversee technical studies related to the mine development, reserve optimization, and downstream project development.
- Provide all technical data inputs and other studies required for regulatory compliances and permitting with regards to the mine and project development
- Establish and maintain robust relationships across departmental functions to deliver technical study documents required for regulatory compliances and permitting.
- Proactively drive the application of best applicable practices in mine planning, technology, and operations support.
- Establish and define work procedures and practices to institute acceptable standards of outputs and performance
- Define capital and budgetary requirements and manage the departmental budget for the achievement of mineral resources activities and objectives
- Develop and manage a network of project specialists, technical consultants, and contractors in the mineral resource function
Requirements:
- Sc. or MSc Degree in Mine Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of mineral resource and reserve management experience
- At least 1 year in a similar managerial position including an operating nickel project.
- Advanced technical knowledge of mineral reserve estimation, mine planning, and operations.
- Knowledge of mineral reserves reporting and database system.
- Strong background in mine operations.
- Official reserves reporting experience in accordance with the national/global codes/standards
- Registered Competent Person Indonesia (CPI) for laterite nickel preferred.
- Willing to regularly visit the Mining site
