Jakarta Head Officer

The Manager Pyrometallurgy reports directly to the Principal Met and Process. This position is responsible to look after various pyromet projects from development to operation.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and efficient project work environment
- Lead, direct, manage, and support all pyromet projects from development to operation
- Be responsible in flowsheet development/optimisation/new technology/product quality
- Design tailing/off gas emission/process water management system to the international standard
- Provide owner estimate for Capex and Opex of pyromet projects
- Participate in technical marketing activities for new products
- Ensure safe and sound operation
- Support other depts, i.e. external affair and company initiatives such as carbon footprint reduction
- Develop and lead team of metallurgists/process engineer
- Manage and monitor consultants’ deliverables and contracts
- Provide regular reports / presentations to Exco
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy and related discipline
- Demonstrated a minimum of 10 years working experience in similar industry
- Mandatory core competencies:
- Smelter operation experience
- Copper smelting + Acid plant in combination with Nickel smelting is a plus
- Depth understanding in equipment design vs. operability and and maintenance
- Good understanding in permitting process for smelter operation
- Knowledge of product quality pricing and penalty structure
- Previous involvement in merger and acquisition is highly regarded
- Good network with equipment vendors
- Team leading skills
- Project delivery / execution in tight deadline
