Livestock Cattle and Health Equipment for the Pohuwato Community
The Pani Gold Project donated cattle and medical equipment assistance in Pohuwato Regency, Gorontalo, as part of a community empowerment program. A total of 350 cows were symbolically handed over to 10 residents representing the 212 miners of the Pohuwato people. The handover was carried out by Boyke P. Abidin, President Director of PT Puncak Emas Tani Sejahtera—who at the same time represented PT Gorontalo Sejahtera Mining—together with the Regent of Saipul Mbuinga at the Pohuwato Regency Government office on 13 December 2022.
Cattle assistance to artisanal miners is an initial form of the Pani Gold Project’s support so that artisanal miners can earn their living in a safer and more sustainable manner that is also safe for the environment and healthy for the community. Following this, the artisanal miners will take part in a series of training and field support to improve their capacity.
The Pani Gold Project also donated medical equipment worth more than IDR 1 billion to Bumi Panua Hospital to improve the health of the Pohuwato community, as an integral part of the community empowerment program in the Pani Gold Project area.
