Jakarta Head Officer

Responsible for the for planning, management and to execute, transition and handover of the three plants from a construction site to operational plant while maintaining the safety of personnel and integrity of plant. You will report to the General Manager Operation Readiness.
Responsibilities:
- To implement and ensure a “Change Management” process exists to enable review and approval of key changes in plant or processes.
- Lead a risk assessment culture through verifying, facilitating and/or requesting risk assessments on commissioning activities.
- To be actively involved in sustainability and climate change initiatives and programs. This includes pro-actively identifying opportunities to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions within the plant or during commissioning processes.
- To promote a culture of environmental awareness and compliance through applying environmental management practices addressing environmental risk exposures and regulatory compliance requirements.
- To meet plant and performance quality expectations and standards.
- Work with the construction group to rectify any design and construction defects in the plant.
- Assist plant control system engineers in process control development and implementation.
- Preparation of Commissioning Plan and associated documentation.
- Recruit and lead the Commissioning Teams in the Execution of field activities including:
- Coordinating and conducting construction completion and verification walk down inspections
- Reviewing construction handover documentation
- Develop and implement commissioning schedule, handover plans and systems
- Control systems checking and verification
- Coordinating isolations and energisations with construction activities.
- Cold (water) commissioning and control loop tuning
- Hot (ore) commissioning and control loop tuning
- Performance testing and verification
- Provide relief coverage for Commissioning Engineers during field breaks as required.
- Preparation of Commissioning Handover documentation.
- Assisting the Operations team to optimize plant performance after handover as required.
Requirements:
- Preferably Process, Mechanical or Electrical/Control Systems engineer or Metallurgist.
- Minimum ten (10) years work experience in mineral processing plants with preference in Roaster and Acid operation
- History of leadership roles and ability to organize, motivate and develop personnel.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word). Previous experience in the use of Project Scheduling products (Primavera P3, P5/6 or Sure Track or MS-Project) highly desirable.
- Good report writing skills.
- Excellent technical, management and people skills.
- Significant experience working within technical translating environment.
