The Merdeka Group’s portfolio comprises strategically managed and diversified mining operations, development projects, and mineral processing businesses.
We operate three mines in Indonesia: the Tujuh Bukit Gold Mine in Banyuwangi, East Java; the Wetar Copper Mine on Wetar Island, Southwest Maluku; and, through Merdeka Gold Resources (EMAS), the Pani Gold Mine, one of Indonesia’s largest primary gold mines, which has been ramping up production since commencing operations in October 2025.
The Merdeka Group is developing the Tujuh Bukit Copper Project, one of the world’s largest undeveloped underground copper-gold projects. In addition, PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) operates integrated nickel mining and processing facilities connected to industrial parks in Sulawesi to support the global electric vehicle battery materials value chain. As part of this business, MBMA also operates the AIM (Acid, Iron, Metal) Plant in Morowali, Central Sulawesi, which processes pyrite from the Wetar Copper Mine into a range of value-added products.
